If I get too stressed, will it harm my baby?

I can't seem to calm down. Now that I am pregnant not only do I worry about everything else, but now about the health of my baby. Is she developing? I did drugs when I was younger, will that affect her?

In addition to all those worries, now I am worried that worrying will affect my baby?

Am I crazy?

Does Stress Harm Baby? No, not crazy. Pretty normal in fact.

In fact there have been some studies done that show huge amounts of stress (far above what you have mentioned) does result in early labor and low birth weights.

You can't change your past but assuming your are living healthy now the effects on your baby should be minimized. Your doctor can give you the best advice on prior drug, alcohol and cigarette use.

But I always advise women to take care of yourself, eat right, get some exercise and try meditation. One of the things that seems to work wonders (at least in my experience) is getting an ultrasound. Not only does it show you your healthy fetus but it also help you to grasp that you will have a health baby.

Keeping the ultrasound photo with you will help you to remember that your baby is healthy.

We do, what we call, Biophysical Profile screening. These are ultrasounds (which are harmless to you and your fetus) to check for fetal well-being.  We check for fetal movement, heart rate, we check the amniotic fluid along with breathing and flexsion. This test is almost guaranteed to make you feel less stressed : )

We are experts at taking and reading 3d and 4d ultrasounds, we have been doing this years and have seen great results.
